The Lowe Cellar Door lies within our working winery on the Tinja property, and enjoys spectacular views across the vineyards & Mudgee landscape. A visit is the best way for you to explore our range of organic & biodynamic wines, learn their stories, meet our winemakers, and see what makes us, us.
Here you can immerse yourself in the true Mudgee experience with a guided wine tasting, leisurely stroll around the Tinja property and a regional platter & wine on the terrace.
Bookings are essential for our Lowe Tasting Experience, which is the sole wine tasting opportunity at Cellar Door. If you wish to enjoy a platter & wine without a tasting, you are welcome to find a spot on the lawns, under the trees or near the dam to do so without a booking.
We’re open 7 days a week from 10am – 5pm; located on Tinja Lane, a short 7km drive from the Mudgee CBD.
Tastings, platters & wine are all currently available. We have ensured all seating is spaced adequately and the number of people at any one time follows appropriate restrictions. Our large terraced area, Cellar Door and lawns provide ample space to relax while maintaining distance.
All wine tastings must be conducted seated at a table. To ensure we can provide the ultimate tasting experience while keeping to the spacing & seating requirements, bookings are essential for all tastings, and platters & wine on the terrace. They are available here.
All surfaces are sanitised regularly and glasses put through a commercial dishwasher. We please ask you to assist us by sticking to your booking time limits and be considerate of staff and other guests. We are unable to seat anyone beyond the set capacity, and apologise if we cannot accommodate you at your desired time.
We have introduced a new style platter, so now you can enjoy your own selection of Zin House & local made products to meet your needs.
The Food Store, now settled amongst the cellar door, provides the base for all our platter items, fresh produce, local products and bread. Browse the variety of dips, cheeses, olives, meats, produce, fruit and baked goods to pick your own mix. Much of it is grown in our organic Tinja gardens, or sourced from our neighbours and favourite producers.
Take the time to relax with a platter and your favourite Lowe wine by the glass or bottle. All seating on the terrace is reserved for our ‘Lowe Tasting Experience’ which includes time to enjoy a platter. If you wish to enjoy a platter & wine without a tasting, you are welcome to find a spot on the lawns, under the trees or near the dam to do so without a booking.
Platter items you will find to choose from:
Cheeses – High Valley feta with salsa verdé, double cream brie, smoked or plain Caerphilly
Dips – Roast beetroot & ricotta, roast pumpkin hummus with dukkah, apple rosé rosemary paste, black olive tapenade & roast tomato
Meats – Salami, double smoked local ham
Produce – Marinated olives, crimson snow apples, organic greens
Products – Tomato relish, miso butter, baguettes, sourdough loaf, lavosh & gluten-free crackers
Plus daily specials. Products change with seasonality and availability.
We’ve got lots of places to explore and things to see around the whole Tinja property. Take a stroll through the cork trees, organic & biodynamic vines and farmland, or meet the friendly locals at the chook shed including our free range chickens, peacock and rescue donkeys.
For those picturesque shots, head to the recycled wood jetty on the Tinja dam with its reflecting waters, take a swing on our Lowe Love Swing, or make your way up the cellar door entrance for that iconic Lowe shot.
We love seeing all your pictures, and remember to tag @lowefamilywineco or #lowewines so we can share some of the favourites.
You may also find yourself on the lawns of our custom designed wedding & function Marquee, The Pavilion at Lowe, or in the kitchen gardens of our hatted regional restaurant, Zin House. We welcome you to enjoy these spaces, and just ask that you be considerate of other guests enjoying their experience at these venues and any events & weddings in progress.
