About Lowe

Our winery specialises in small batch winemaking using innovative techniques. Our Mudgee vineyards are untrellised, unirrigated and certified organic / biodynamic. They produce low yields of distinctively individual grapes; one of four flag ship varieties being Zinfandel. We are leading the field with practical sustainable management in our vineyards and on our farm.

We Grow

Our fruit is grown on 4 sites in the region: Nullo Mountain (1100m), Rylstone (650m)  Mudgee Blue (450m) and the Winery vineyard at Tinja (500m). All four are now certified organic, displaying the diverse terrior of the region.

We Make

We Sell

You won’t find our wines at large supermarket chains. You will will them at our mudgee cellar door, some good restaurants, small bottle shops, and this website.

Wine Club

Three times a year we will send you a mixed dozen wines. We’ll make the selection, tell you the best way to drink, store and share these wines, and ensure you have a range of interesting notes if you should be one of the 2% of Australians who drink wine more than two hours after its purchase.


Mudgee’s red earth has long been known for its grape growing properties with a history of grape growing stretching back over 120 years. Our continental climate, with no influence from the sea we generally have hot days, cool nights and (usually) winter/spring rain with a long dry growing season. This leads to tremendous elegance and balance in the reds with a distinctive savoury character and finely structured tannins.
