$20.00 AUD inc. gst > OUT OF STOCK |
The Lowe family’s ‘Tinja’ property has been in the family for five generations and is the home of the Lowe winery. It is here that the Tinja wines are made from grapes grown in premium wine regions of NSW.
This crisp, refreshing blend of Verdelho and Chardonnay is made without the use of preservatives. It was developed for those with allergic reactions to such additives.
Made from Verdelho from our Rylstone vineyard and Chardonnay from Tinja (in Mudgee), we have set out to maintain freshness, and with early cold bottling to trap the wines youth. Some musk aromas and a lightness from early harvesting makes this a terrific wine for any time of day. A pioneering wine for everyday.
It is light in alcohol and shows the crisp fruit flavours of the region. Served chilled.

"People are always asking me to recommend wines bottled without any added preservatives. Reds are easier to make without sulphites and are now more and more common in bottleshops and restaurants but preservative-free whites are harder to make and find. So it's great to be able to tell you about this dry white made by well-known Mudgee vigneron David Lowe: a 2012 blend of verdelho and chardonnay, it's refreshing, crisp, clean and zippy, only 10 per cent alcohol and crying out for seafod. The 2012 Tinja Organic Preservative-Free Red ($20), a shiraz merlot blend, is also delicious: spicy, snappy, black-fruity and fresh. lowewine.com.au."

"Lowe Mudgee Tinja Preservative-free White 2012 $20 Tinja 2012 preservative-free white joins its sulphur-free merlot cellar mate, first released five years ago by Mudgee vigneron David Lowe. The new wine is a blend of verdelho and chardonnay, grown on an organic-in-conversion vineyard, 650 metres above sea level, at Rylstone, within the Mudgee wine region. It’s a fresh, fruity dry white, with quite a firm, savoury dry finish – quite an achievement considering how difficult it is to make sound wine without the protection of sulphur dioxide. The wine’s also low in alcohol, weighing in at just 10 per cent."
