Open daily from 10am – 5pm, the Lowe Cellar Door lies within our working winery on the Tinja Farm, and enjoys spectacular views across the vineyards to the Mudgee hills.

 

​​A visit is the best way for you to explore our range of wines, learn their stories and make the most of the organic & biodynamic vineyard. Enjoy one of our personal wine tasting experiences, nibble on a grazing hamper or take a stroll around the farm, it’s all part of the experience here at Lowe Family Wine Co.

Our wine tasting experiences

The ‘Lowe Flow’

$20pp | Daily | 9 current release wines

Our daily, go-to wine tasting that lets you taste a seasonal range of Lowe wines. Guided by our knowledgeable team, this dynamic experience is a great introduction to our wines & what we do here at Lowe. Our wine passport allows you to personalise your journey by choosing wines that excite you and allowing you to move at your own speed. You’ll learn how our wines are made, the stories behind them and, of course, how they taste. The experience includes samples of house-made nibbles to cleanse your palate as you go.

‘Lowe Show’ Premium Tour & Taste

$75pp | Sat 11am – 12.30 pm | current, unreleased & museum wines

For those looking for a detailed insight into the growing & making of our wines, our ‘Lowe Show’ is the ultimate 1.5hr wine lovers experience. Run in an intimate group, this experience takes you through nearby vines and/or the winery before taking to our fav seats to taste a range of current, unreleased & museum wines. Our senior taster will take you through flavour profiles, winemaking techniques & answers your questions as you snack on complimentary tasting boards of house-made nibbles.

Please note: Our tasting costs are based on the value of the experience, including the tasting of wines across our premium ranges, accompanying house-made nibbles and the time of our experienced team to guide you through. It is not refundable with wine purchase.

Food by Lowe Cellar Kitchen

Our Cellar Kitchen, located inside Cellar Door, is open from 10:00am-4:00pm daily (may vary during quieter times).

 

This is where you will find all your produce & platter needs – made in house using local ingredients, either directly from our organic farm, or like-minded regional suppliers – ready to enjoy with a bottle of wine on the terrace or picnic rug on the lawns. No BYO food is permitted.

 

Hampers can be pre-purchased when making your tasting or picnicking booking (above), or make your own selection on the day from our seasonal range of products.

Grazing Hampers

We have four hamper options – The Taste, The Tinja, The Deluxe & The Mini (kids) – all of which include a varying selection & sizing of house-made and local items such as sourdough, cheeses, olives, meats & more.

We happily cater for a number of dietaries including plant based & gluten free – please note these requirements and any allergies in the booking notes for pre-ordered hampers.

Hamper & Pantry Items

You’ll also find a range of house-made products to make your own platter or take home with you. These include:

  • Salami & cured meats made in-house
  • Fresh sourdough & baked goods from our town-based bakery ‘Althea by Zin’
  • Seasonal pickles, salads & condiments made using our organic Tinja Farm produce
  • Seasonal High Valley Mudgee cheeses

Enjoy a complimentary farm trail map on your visit to Lowe Cellar Door to make your way around the farm, gardens, vines and animals – head to the picturesque jetty or meet the friendly locals with chooks, donkeys, horses & emus all part of the family.

 

Please bear in mind we are a working farm, so always check in with the team before beginning on your wander and watch out for hazards especially with children & animals. Do not enter locked paddocks or those with animals.

Jack Brown Residency at The Zin House

This April & May, Ex-Printhie Head Chef, Jack Brown, is joining us at Zin for a two-month residency.

Working closely with Nathan Lovett of Naway Yila Buradja, this partnership will celebrate native ingredients including those from our Tinja Farm, whilst allowing Jack to tell stories through his cooking as a First Nations chef.
